If you are planning to take an Oahu vacation, Waikiki Beach is a great place to start. It is a beautiful beach where you can view one of the island’s stunning landmarks, Diamond Head.
Another must-visit site to enjoy your holiday is Lanikai Beach. The beach offers spectacular views of the ocean, white sandy beaches and a couple of small islands — reasons that make Lanikai Beach belong to the top 10 beaches of the world. There’s also Hukilau Beach in Laie for those who prefer more privacy. Hukilau Beach is not very crowded, and near it is an island where you can escape to if you want something more private and secluded.

If you must know, Jimi Hendrix was so inspired by the breathtaking view that he wrote a song which he called Pali Gap. There is also a film footage of him walking along the viewing area, fighting off strong winds. It is highly recommended that you visit the Oahu beaches in the morning, so you can have plenty of time left to see the Polynesian Cultural Center.
